JULIE SHERIDAN - NZB VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH

What a wonderful Wednesday evening bridge session. First off it was the Paul Neilson Singles when a Club Senior partners with a different Junior or Novice player for each of the three sessions. This kind of event embodies the qualities we hope our Club promotes - friendship, encouragement and support to all members.

Of course the other reason we were happy to celebrate was JULIE SHERIDAN being honoured as NZ Bridge Volunteer of the Month for July. The committee nominated Julie back in October and was delighted to hear our nominee was selected. President Diane was proud to announce Julie's award and Karen Martelletti, on behalf of NZ Bridge, presented Julie with her Certificate and a gift of three gorgeous grevilleas. Shirley Knight then read the nomination letter and one of the golf club bridge players extended their congratulations and thanks to Julie. Every one of the 90 players on Wednesday evening was thrilled to be able to recognise and acknowledge Julie's dedication to our Club.
