Bridgemates

BM UnitThe Mount Maunganui Club purchased 30 units of the Bridgemate scoring system in 2011. Bridgemates are small wireless tabletop devices that capture the scoring data. It becomes no longer necessary to have travelling score sheets.

Bob Fearn adapted his Compass scoring package to interface with the Bridgemate system and has been able to make many clever refinements using all the data harvested by the Bridgemate Control Software.

There are a number of advantages to using this system:

• There is no need for a scorer to do the manual input at the end of a session.
• Results are available within seconds of the score being entered at the last table to finish playing.
• Most scoring errors are eliminated. If the contract, lead and result are entered correctly, the score will be correct.
• The system is really easy for players to use.
• Corrections to names and scores can be made at the table in playing time.

• Compass generates this comprehensive suite at the touch of one button.
