2021 Bay of Plenty Interclub Teams

Our Open, Intermediate and Junior Teams competed in the Bay of Plenty Interclub Teams in Rotorua on Sunday 25th July.
The Open Team of Pam Clotworthy and Bruce Inglis and Marion Kelly and Julie Sheridan finished 3rd in their Grade.
The Intermediate Team of Diane Rodger and Lyn Bailie and Pamela Pedersen and Bren Birss finished 4th in their Grade.
The Junior Team of Rachel Olsen and Kathy King and Michele Larnder and Helene Paterson finished 2nd in their Grade.
Overall we finished 3rd.
Congratulations to the Te Puke Team who won the Ib Thulin Shield.

2021 Mt Maunganui Intermediate, Junior & Novice Tournament

There was almost a full house at the Tauranga Bridge Club today for the 2021 Mt Maunganui Intermediate, Junior and Novice Tournament.
Unfortunately due to a limited numbers of Novice entries, the Novice players who entered were invited to play in the Junior field. Most accepted and one pair, Frank and Kim Billington, from Rotorua did very well.
The results for the Intermediates and Juniors are in results above.
Many of our members were among the prizewinners.

7th - Kath Harvey and Jean Scott

INTRODUCTION
XG Grades are an adaptation of the National Grade System (NGS) implemented by the English Bridge Union. A National Grade (NG) is an assessment of the playing standard of all affiliated members. NGS CONCEPTS AND CALCULATIONS
A players NG is based on their club and tournament results over their last 2000 boards played. For the typical player, this amounts to about 80 sessions.
